From 1986 to 1990: Soldier within the combat troop 35015 of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Yunnan
1997: Yong joined the Federation of Automobile Sports of China (FASC) as registered driver.
From 2000 to now: Yong works as employee at Beijing Yongchi Suzuki Trading Co., Ltd.
2004: Official establishment of Changan Suzuki: Yong He became captain and main driver of the Chang'an Suzuki Swift Rally Team. As representative of the Chang’an Suzuki, Yong participates in China National Rally Championships (CRC) ever since.
2010: Yong had been appointed instructor of the Federation of Automobile Sports of China (FASC). Designated by Chang’an Suzuki, Yong started to act as test drive instructor.
2013/2013/2014: As main driver of the Suzuki Off-Road Team, Yong participated in the (Xinjiang) Taklimakan Rally, also known as China's Dakar Rally.
2014: Establishment of Suzuki China: Yong has been appointed captain and main driver of the Suzuki Swift Sport Team. Since then, Yong represents the Suzuki China at the China Rally Championship (CRC) race series.
Major Achievements:
2003/2004: Yong won the China National Fuel Economy Contest with a Suzuki Swift car.
2005: Provided with a Suzuki Tianyu, Yong won five individual fuel economy contests throughout China. Hence, he emerged as the year-end champion of the 2005 China National Fuel Economy Contest series.
2009/ 2010/ 2011/2013: As driver of a Suzuki Swift, Yong became champion of the China National Rally Championship (CRC) in the group S1for four consecutive years. Additionally, Chang’an Suzuki had been awarded with the cup for being the best automobile manufacturer among the participating teams.
2012: As driver of a Suzuki Tianyu, Yong had been awarded with a champion cup in the category “Best Individual Performance” at the 2012 China Rally Championship (CRC) Group S3. At the same time, Suzuki had been awarded with the champion cup for the “Best Car Manufacturer” and the “Best Racing Team”.
2013: Yong became the runner-up of the China National Rally Championship in the group S3.
2013: Yong won four race sections of the (Xinjiang) Taklimakan Rally Championship group N.
From 2000 to 2013: Chang’an Suzuki and Suzuki China awarded Yong with several awards such as for “Special Contributions”; “Outstanding Performance”, “Excellent Dealer Service” etc..
2014: Yong became champion of the group N2 at the 2014 China National Rally Championship Group in Wuyi (Zhejiang province).
